Victorinox was founded in 1884 in Ibach, in the heart of Switzerland. It was here, in this small Schwyz canton village, that Karl Elsener created his first cutlery workshop. At the time, the factory did not carry the name now known throughout the world. But it already demonstrated the values that are today still emblematic of its expertise. From the very start ingenuity, functionality, reliability, product quality and respect for clients were the central concerns of the young entrepreneur.
